Business owner’s policy (BOP)

Canonical definition

A business owner’s policy, or BOP, is a small-business package that typically combines general liability, commercial property, and business-interruption coverage. Its actual coverages, exclusions, limits, and eligibility are set by the issued policy and endorsements.

“BOP” names a package, not a promise that every business risk is covered. The NAIC’s overview identifies the three common components. Read the declarations, forms, and endorsements to see how that package applies to your location, property, and operations.
